Hugh N. Goodson Sr.

Hugh N. Goodson Sr. 77 of Carrollton, Georgia went home to be with the Lord, while surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

Hugh was born in June 1946 to the late Jefferson Charles and Hazel Dickerson Goodson. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. He loved to share his love of the outdoors with his family. His favorite shows to watch with the grandchildren were “Mountain Monsters” and “Expedition Bigfoot” as they debated whether or not Bigfoot would be found. He loved the family gathering for the holidays, especially Christmas where they would decorate with lights, bake, and watch Christmas movies. He was loved immensely and will be missed beyond measure.

Hugh is survived by his children, Tracie (Stanley) Sullivan, Hugh (Belinda) Goodson Jr., Candie (Bez) De La Torre, Jennifer (Jerome) Augustine, and Shane Dodd, his 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, as well as his siblings, Terry Goodson, Keith Goodson, Jeff Goodson, Kim O’Kelley, Marty Goodson, Kellie Crowley, Ashley Goodson and several other family and friends.

Hugh is preceded in death by his wife of 34 years Tina Goodson, both of his parents, and 2 grandchildren, Joshua Prather, and Brooklyn Augustine.
