Hubert Reggie Wood

Mr. Hubert Reggie Wood age 89, of Mableton, died Wednesday, March 11 at his home.He is survived by his loving wife, Gay; children, Debra Muff, Donna Brown, Darrell Wood and Laurie Wood; grandchildren, Kaitlen Wood, Melissa Nowlin, Camryn Wood and Mason Wood and great-granddaughter, McKaylin Nowlin. Mr. Wood served as a mail clerk for two years in the U.S. Navy during World War 2 and later went on to work for over 30 years at General Motors painting fenders and bodies on the assembly line. He was a very active member of Mableton Assembly of God, serving in many roles from usher to Trustee. He was also active in swimming, tennis and racquetball. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 12 from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1pm in the chapel of Roy Davis Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville. < center >
