Hubert Edward Whitfield, age 95 of Austell, died Thursday, April 16, 2009.He is survived by his son, Stanley Whitfield of Hiram; daughter, Jo-Evelyn Morris of Marietta; brothers, Aubrey Leon Whitfield of Winnsboro, SC, H. Charles Whitfield of Dunwoody, Allen Preston Whitfield of Yulee, FL; sister, Mildred Rowan of Potomac, MD; granddaughters, Lisa Whitfield, Kelly Whitfield, and Elizabeth Morris; grandson-in-law, Grant Elliott. Mr. Whitfield was a past Austell City Councilman; member of the Austell Volunteer Fire department; Civil Defense, member and deacon of Austell 1st Baptist Church.Funeral service will be held Sunday, April 19, 2009 at 3:00 PM at the Roy Davis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Foster officiating.The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 pm until 7 pm at the funeral home.
