Gloria Jeanette Melton Gambino

Gloria Jeanette Melton Gambino, 75 of Mableton, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022. She was born in Marietta on September 3, 1947, the daughter of Mark and Martha Melton. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Bryan and Margaret Melton, and their daughter and sons. She never had children of her own and is survived by her chosen daughter, Amanda Henson and her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Faye Melton.

Having grown up in Mableton, Gloria graduated from South Cobb High School. She attended Georgia State University before transferring to Florida State University, where she earned her Master’s Degree in Interior Design.

Gloria had a successful career as an interior designer. Her talent and love of decorating led her to being a sales leader, once winning a trip to Paris. She enjoyed traveling and visiting Bed and Breakfast Inns.

Gloria loved her dog, Raven, as well as other animals. She often donated to animal charities. She was a wonderful seamstress. Surprising for a petite lady, Gloria was also a bit of a sharpshooter.

Most of all, Gloria was a feisty lady with a unique personality. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Gloria Jeanette Melton Gambino will be held at 4:00 pm Friday, December 30, at Roy Davis Funeral Home.
