George Franklin Nodine

George Nodine, 85 years young, of Smyrna, Georgia passed away in April of 2023. He was born in Asheville, North Carolina in 1937 and graduated from the Fitzhugh Lee High School, Class of ’55, in Smyrna. He joined the US Air Force in 1957 and served in Japan until 1960 when he began his career with Delta Air Lines. He married Verlene Sikes later that same year. While serving in the Air Force, he received awards and maintenance certifications on both piston and jet engine aircraft and his A&P license while working at Delta. His favorite hobby was repairing cars for friends and family. He is survived by his two sons, Michael and Todd.
