George Chester Miller

On Saturday November 24, 2018, George Chester Miller of Douglasville, Georgia passed away in his home at the age of 74. George was born in Dayton, Ohio on August 20, 1944 to parents William Miller and Martha (Gilbert) Miller, he had 1 brother Karroll Miller, 4 sisters, Loretta Clemmer, Nancy Turner, Mary Buckmaster, and Chesta Geisbert.He graduated from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio in 1967.He served in the Army and was honorably discharged in 1971.He worked for the Douglas County Sentinel for many years, he also retired from NAPA Auto Parts. On May 23, 1981, George married Marlane Dorothy Buschle in Cincinnati, Ohio.Together they had one son- Chester Miller of Robertsdale, AL, and two daughters – Leslie Byrd of Ellijay, GA and Jessica Crofts of Hiram, GA; also had stepdaughters Dawn Kelley and Teresa Harper of Douglasville, GA and stepsons Brian Niehaus of Tifton, GA and John Robison of Mason, OH. George is preceded in death by his parents William and Martha and also by his wife Marlane who passed in 2012.George is survived by his 3 children, 4 stepchildren, 16 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, his 1 brother and 4 sisters. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday January 12, 2019 @ 11am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 3027 Chapel Hill Road in Douglasville, Georgia 30135.All who knew, and loved George are invited to attend.
