Fred Nelson

Fredrick Wesley Nelson, 67 of Austell, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021. He is survived by his wife, June Nelson of Austell, brothers-in-law Randy Nelson of Austell and Elvis Lamar Presley of Nebraska; mother-in-law, Pearl Stone of Salina, KS; his sister Teresa and several nieces and nephews. Fred was born in Massachusetts and later moved to Kansas, where he met the love of his life, June Presley Nelson. He came to Georgia to marry her. They were married at Friendship Baptist Church on September 17, 1997. A hardworking man, Fred worked as a brake mechanic for Brake-O and Just Brakes. He was a football fanatic and a big Georgia Bulldogs fan. He enjoyed fishing and would fish anywhere there was water. He loved his little rescue dogs, Sky and Lucky. Most of all, Fred loved the Lord and was a member of Lithia Springs Assembly of God for more than 15 years. With his big heart and great personality, everybody that met Fred loved him. He will be truly missed by his family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 15 at Lithia Springs Assembly of God, with Pastor James Cowan officiating.
