Frances Charlene Hammock

Frances Charlene (Char) Hammock, 70 of Douglasville, passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, February 1, 2020. She was born in Atlanta on October 22, 1949, the daughter of Charles and Hazel Sutton. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Charles J. & Mary Hammock of Statham, and Anthony T. & Mandy Hammock of Douglasville; sister and brother-in-law, Marsha & Larry Mulkey of Lawrenceville; brother and sister-in-law, Cliff C. & Mary Sexton of Bethlehem; sisters, Debra and Kathy; grandchildren, Chris Hammock, Brandon Hammock, Kelly Hammock, Cherish Cain and Cameo Quinn; great grandchildren, Madison Hill, JJ Hill, Charlie Quinn, Riley Cain, Skyler Hammock, Christopher Hammock, Jr., Zadon Hammock, Nancy Hammock and Kensley Hammock. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Johnny M. Hammock, and her brother, Russell Sexton. Mrs. Hammock's desire to help people led her to work in private duty nursing. She loved her family and their love for her gave her the strength to continue fighting cancer for so long. A Celebration of Mrs. Hammock's life will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, February 8, at her home, 3499 Rocky Creek Drive, Douglasville.
