Evelyn Idell Berry

Evelyn Idell Lusk Berry passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020. She is survived by her children; Linda and her husband Mike Brown, Jerry and his wife Avice Berry, Joe and his wife Kathy Berry, and Gregory Berry, and her brother, Ralph Lusk. She has eight grandchildren; Christopher Berry, Jason Berry, Jared Berry, Tyler Berry, Matthew Berry, Scott Brothers, Maggie Brown, and Gabe Brown, she also has seven great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, many nieces and nephews. Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Oliver Berry, her parents Joel and Nora Lusk, and her brothers J.N. Lusk, and James Lusk. Evelyn loved her family unconditionally. She was a true Southern lady, gracious, hospitable and selfless.She found her greatest joy in doing for others. She was very humble, yet proud and independent, never wishing to be a “burden.” The most important thing in her life was her faith as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.Until her very last days, she without fail began each day reading her daily bible text, would attend services and share her faith with others as much as possible.Remaining steadfast in her beliefs in the hope of a resurrection to an everlasting life in paradise enabled her to be at peace in her final days. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. There are no services at this time.
