Mrs. Eula Vee Johnson passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019 at her home in Douglasville, GA.She was born on November 24, 1924, in Hennings, TN, the daughter of the late Jarvest (Jack) and Frankie Mae (Brooks) Lee.After relocating from Trenton, TN to Kalamazoo, MI in 1949, she was employed at Bronson Hospital in Dietary, and later at Borgess Hospital as a Nurse’s Aide in the Nursery Department; but her desire for educational advancement and owning her own business led her to enroll and graduate from Beauty College. She was a Licensed Cosmetologist and Owner of Eula’s Beauty Salon for over 30 years. Upon retiring due to ill health, she fully devoted herself to helping care for her 3 Amigo Great-Grandchildren and focusing on healing from cancer. She was an active member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Kalamazoo, MI for over 65 years, serving faithfully with the Usher Ministry, until illness prevented her from active participation.Upon relocating to Georgia with her daughter and son-in-law in late 2017, they joined Zion Hill Baptist Church, in March 2018 as a family. Although unable to physically attend church due to illness, homebound church services came to the family with visits from Pastor Dr. Aaron Parker, church ministerial staff, cards, and phone calls until the day of her passing. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Willie Johnson; daughter, Belita Johnson-Harpool; brother, John Lee; granddaughter, Jennifer Ann Dunigan; brothers-in-law, Lee Ambrose and Nolan Johnson; sister-in-law, Mamie Johnson. She loved her family and leaves many wonderful memories of a blessed life to her surviving daughters, Annie (Charles) Dunigan of Douglasville, GA;Francine Johnson-Cody of Denver, CO; son, Ernie Johnson of Denver, CO;grandchildren, Christopher (Nakesha) Dunigan, Sr., of Douglasville,GA, Bridget Dunigan (Danielle Ismirle) of Redford, MI; Terrance/Tee (DaShonda) Johnson of Denver, CO; Regina McGee and Shanika Harpool of Denver, CO; great-grandchildren, Armahni, Kristia, and Christopher Jr., of Douglasville, GA; a host ofgreat-grandchildren in Denver, CO; sister-in-law, Brenda Hill of Kalamazoo, MI; special cousins, Annie Brooks, Thomas Brooks, Jr., Joyce Brooks-Brown, Joe Frank Brooks, all of Trenton, TN;with a host ofcousins, friends, and acquaintances.
