Elsie "Granny" Bryant

Elsie L. Bryant "Granny" was the matriarch of her family. Born to Francis & Edgar Simpson Sr. on January 19, 1942. Growing up in Atlanta, Georgia Granny attended and graduated from the Atlanta Public School system. She was certified as a nurse's assistant (CNA) and maintained a career as housekeeping supervisor at MMANTEC, INC the FAA training center in Atlanta, Georgia. Elsie decreed membership to the Order of Eastern Stars and served for over fifty years. Her passion was family and entertaining.
Elsie leaves to cherish her memories a daughter Robin Bryant (Gregory Grier); sons Darryl Bryant (Twiwanda), James Bryant (Carolyn). 13 grandkids, a host of great grandkids and several great- great grandkids. Two sisters Gloria and Mary Simpson & brother William Simpson (Marsha-Ann). Elsie was preceded in death by her brothers Edgar "Dune" Simpson Jr., Harry " Wooga" Simpson (Rose), Robert "Teen" Simpson (Mary-Alice), Carl Simpson and life companion "Grandpa Willie" Ponder.
"Granny" was a true angel on Earth. She was the epitome of strength; she loved and was loved by so many. She never turned a soul away and enjoyed feeding her family & friends. "YOU HUNGRY?" was her favorite question. Granny was a fountain of knowledge; she loved to complete word search puzzles and listen to a variety of music. Granny will be greatly missed.
