Elizabeth Sanders Jefferson

Elizabeth Sanders Jefferson, age 71, of Austell, passed away on November 23rd, 2020 in Atlanta, Georgia. Elizabeth was born in Austell, Georgia to the late Mr. Henry and Mrs. Nelle Hammond Sanders. Elizabeth was a retired primary educator in the Cobb County School System, where she would eventually retire after nearly 30 years. She loved teaching and took great pride in her students. Elizabeth was also an avid gardener and was particularly fond of her Climbing Roses, Hydrangeas, and loved the butterflies that frequently visited the gardens. This love led her to implement butterfly gardens at schools she served, as well as her church. Above all of this, she loved the Lord, her husband, her children, her precious grandchildren, and her family. Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bob Jefferson. Children: Carrie (Brian) Judd, Curtis (Sarah) Jefferson. Grandchildren: Hannah, Nathan and Ruth Judd, Grey, Sanders and Collins Jefferson. A private memorial service will be held Saturday, November 28th, 2020 at Austell Presbyterian Church at 2PM. While the services are not open to the public, you will be able to live stream them from the church Facebook page. The family will be holding a public celebration of life in the spring. The family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in honor of Mrs. Elizabeth Jefferson to Austell Presbyterian Church.
