Doris Lee Ward

Doris Lee Ward was born July 31, 1928, in Mannington, WV and passed away on June 22, 2021 at her home in Hiram, GA. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Hiram, GA and faithfully served her Lord Jesus Christ until her death. She used her gifts of singing for the Lord and encouraging others, throughout her lifetime. Her favorite scripture verse was Isaiah 40:31. Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Richard Wayne Ward, who went home to heaven on February 27, 2015. She was also preceded by her father and mother, Hugh and Opal (Fetty) Fluharty of Mannington, WV. Doris is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Cathy (O’Rear) Ward of Hiram, GA; sisters Fran Tolliver and Darla Thompson of Newark, OH; plus, many other beloved family members and friends. Cremation was performed by Roy Davis Funeral Home in Austell, GA and interment will be at the GA National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
