Doris Gann Brown

Doris Gann Brown passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022.

She was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Luke and Mary Elizabeth Gann Sr.

Doris was a retired school bus driver in Cobb County for over twenty years, she worked at Palms and Dolly’s restaurant where she was a waitress. She loved to serve people, she was very generous and loved her children. She also enjoyed playing POGO games.

She is survived by her children; Mark (Wanda) Newbold, Joseph Newbold, Cherry (Randy) Watts, step children; Wanda White (Gary), Brenda Tressler, and Jim Brown, her siblings, Beverly Gann and Phyllis Herndon, she had seven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years James E. Brown, her daughter-n-law Susan Newbold, stepson Wayne Brown and her siblings; Dolores Tew, Grace Willoughby, Mary Ann Hill, and Luke Gann Jr.
