D.L. Willoughby

Dennis Lee "D.L." Willoughby, Sr., 66 of Dallas, passed away surrounded by his family on November 29, 2019. He was born in Austell on March 30, 1953. He is survived by his partner of 20 years, Karen Railey of Dallas; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis & Rachel Willoughby of Douglasville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie Willoughby, Buster & Jeanette Willoughby, Billy & B.J. Willoughby and Tony & Rhonda Willoughby, all of Paulding County, and his grandchildren, Nolan and Nora Willoughby. He was preceded in death by his parents, L.V. Willoughby and Mary Nell Coleman Willoughby; brothers, Zach Willoughby and Harold (Pee Wee) Willoughby; sisters, Barbara Jean Crawford and Marilyn Brown, and nephews Buster Willoughby Jr., and Craig Willoughby. D.L. worked as a trailer mechanic until his retirement. He enjoyed Nascar, four-wheel drive trucks and muddin'. He loved spending time with his family and loved his animals. The family will receive friends from 1 to 4 pm Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Roy Davis Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Kidney Foundation in memory of D.L. Willoughby.
