Dewey Howard Smith

Dewey Howard Smith age 77, of Austell, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023. He is survived by his sisters, Margie Smith and Lea (Frankie) Warren; nieces and nephews, Tina Gooden, Gene Hand and Terry (Nova) Hand; daughter, Melissa; son, Derek; grandchildren, Crystal, Katlyn (Brandon), Christina (Matt) and Joshua, thirteen great grandchildren and many great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lenora and parents, Marion and Onie Mae. Dewey was a devote Christian and held strong to his faith in his final days. In his younger years he enjoyed his time deer hunting and fishing. Later in life, Dewey developed a passion for gardening and would spend his free time outdoors when he wasn’t watching his beloved NASCAR. Dewey was a loving man who will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, April 14, 2023 from 11 am to 1 pm with a chapel service at 1 pm followed by a graveside service at Powder Springs.
