C.W. (Bill) Bailey

C.W. (Bill) Bailey of Austell, GA passed away on November 18, 2010Born in Randolph County, AL on August 4, 1918, he was the oldest child of the late Oran Patrick and Ruby Moore Bailey. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Myrtice Bailey, daughter, June Catlin, sister, Margaret Henne and brothers, Floyd, Olton and Carey Bailey.He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Idell and Charles Arnold of Mableton, GA, Katie and Stanley Odom of Powder Springs, GA Nancy and Gene Murphey of Villa Rica, GA and son and daughter-in-law Mike and Faye Bailey of Whitesburg, GA, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. Bailey was a veteran of World War II having served in the army as a medic with the 65th general hospital in England.He was a retired home builder in Cobb and Douglas Counties, a member and past master of Latham Lodge #12 F&AM, and the Douglasville Church of Christ.Until health no longer permitted, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 3pm in the chapel of Roy Davis Funeral Home, Austell, GA, with burial to follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville, GA.The family will receive friends from 6 to 9pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
