Curtis Wise Lawhorn

Mr. Curtis Wise Lawhorn, Sr., age 90, of Acworth, GA, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023, in Cobb County, GA. Mr. Lawhorn was born on August 5, 1933, in Terrell, GA, to parents, the late Mr. Sammie Lawhorn and the late Mrs. Blanche Hufsetetler Lawhorn. Mr. Lawhorn was married to the late Mrs. Betty Louise Ward Lawhorn for almost 66 years until her passing in August. He enjoyed Country Gold music, George Jones being his favorite artist to listen to. He always enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves baseball. He also enjoyed doing yardwork, a glass of sweet tea and his favorite cookies. Curtis and Betty enjoyed many activities together including playing Bingo with their Kroger Crew. Mr. Lawhorn will be dearly missed by his many friends and loved ones. He is survived by his children; Elaine Dahl (Chris), and Curtis Lawhorn Jr., his grandchildren; Ashley Dahl, Taylor Dahl, Ryan Lawhorn, Tyler Lawhorn, and Hayley Altamirano (Solomon). Many nieces, nephews, other friends, and relatives also survive. In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers; Tommy Lawhorn and Donald Lawhorn. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Roy Davis Funeral Home with visitation from 1:00 PM to the hour of the service. Interment will be on Monday November 6, 2023, at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA, at 10:00 AM. Anyone who would like to attend the Interment will need to be at the cemetery at 9:45 AM.
