Courtney “Court” Gifaldi was born June 11, 1989 in Lithia Springs, Ga. She became absent from the body to be present with the Lord on December 21, 2023 at the age of 34.
After Courtney graduated from Paulding County High school she went on to study at Berry College with a scholarship. While in high school Court loved playing the trumpet in the marching band for the Paulding Country Patriots where she made life long friends.
Courtney was well known for being a fun (fund) raiser. Her love for others shown in everything she did. Court raised funds for so many she saw in need. She was selfless in her drive to help others from raising funds to buy neighborhood kids bicycles to assisting people with medical bills and countless other needs. She lived life big! Courtney was full of wonderment and had a love of learning new things. At night the stars would guide her imagination into what the heavens must be like. She no longer wonders as she sits at the feet of Jesus enjoying the peace that knows no end.
When Court was in the room it was full of light and life. She had a heart of gold and a special charisma that drew people near her. She loved deeply and with vigor. Within her social media platforms, she was an encourager to so many. Courtney always wanted other people to know they had value and were good enough just as they are. She embodied a Jesus kind of grace that accepted and loved others as she was loved.
Her laughter was big and ever so contagious. One could hear her laugh with such delight as she shucked pearls and got the “big one” out of the shell. She found great joy doing virtual pearl parities where she moved at the speed of light opening each pearl while connecting with her online viewers remembering their names and family information because people were important to Courtney. She was successful in sales and marketing and truly enjoyed being an entrepreneur.
Court would be quick to offer to make a meal of chicken enchiladas or veggie soup for her family and friends. She loved being a “doer” for people. She sought out ways to go the extra mile for others whether it was inspiration or an act of service Courtney was always there to lend a hand, get in the mix- better yet- lead the mix and get things done.
She was a memory maker. The greatest loves in her life were her children, Lilyana and Baylin. She created magical memories that will last through their lifetime of love and laughter from birthday parties, to vacation experiences. Her love will live on inside of them.
Court will always be remembered with much love by a heart broken mom, Jackie Becker, dad Scott Kimbell, stepdads, her children Lilyana and Baylin Gifaldi, sister Nichole and brother-in-law Charlie Light, and her grandparents; Peggy Post, Ricky and Nona Voyles, Barry and Janice Beam, Brian and Denise Rountree (affectionately called Uncle B/Poppy and Aunt Nise/Nini), and a long list of deeply-saddened Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, extended family, and friends.
We can all find comfort in knowing she’s in the arms of Jesus and reunited with grandparents, uncles, cousins and her fur babies. What a joyous reunion it must have been for them all.
It isn’t goodbye it is “see you later” to our beloved Courtney. Rest in peace sweet love until we meet again in heaven.
