Charlie Toney

Charlie James Toney of Powder Springs, GA passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from an extended illness. He was born and raised in Gainesville, Georgia to James and Ethel Toney. Charlie later met and married his wife of 55 years, Martha Cowart Toney. The couple moved to Powder Springs, Georgia where they raised their children, Greg & Michelle. Charlie was well known as a hard worker and a devoted family man. Charlie is survived by his wife, Martha Cowart Toney, son Greg Toney, daughter Michelle and son-in-law Barry Hunt. Grandchildren include Stephen Toney, Scott and Keri Toney, and Aidan Hunt. Great grandson, Oliver Toney and his mother, Stephanie. He is also survived by his sister, Annette and Charles Bunnell. Charlie will also be missed by his many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Virginia Toney Shaw.
