Charles Loyd Smith

Charles Loyd Smith, age 87 of Lithia Springs, died Sunday, March 1, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mattie Smith; son and daughter-in-law, Charles W. and Ann Smith of Lithia Springs; daughters and son-in-law, Joann Anderson of Lithia Springs and Janice and Dalton Martin of Heflin, Al; half brother, Pete Roy Meek of Douglasville; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mr. Smith retired from Howard Brothers as a machinist and enjoyed gardening. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Army.
