Carmen Luisa Cruz

Carmen Luisa Cruz, age 82, of Austell, Georgia passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024. Carmen was born July 13, 1942 in Fajardo, Puerto Rico to Juana García and Telesforo Cruz.

Carmen is survived by Rafael L. Ramirez (son) and Karmina L. Ramírez (daughter), Angelo Ramirez (grandson), Walter King (son in law), Yolandita L. Malave (ex-daughter in law) and Natalia Rodriguez (granddaughter in law).

Carmen was a lifetime educator. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and wife to Rafael Ramirez for 42 years until he passed in 2011. Carmen was a teacher, school principal, college professor, educational consultant and writer. She was a woman of faith and a leader in her church, who founded the private school of said church. Carmen enjoyed playing guitar, and piano. She also enjoyed and taught Spanish Literature, theatre, drama and poetry. Her greatest joy sparked from spending time with her family.

A memorial will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
