Candace Lola Dameron

Candace Dameron, 84, of Lithia Springs, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years James Dameron Jr.. She is survived by her six children James Dameron III and his wife Rhonda Dameron, Tami Dameron, Kathy Barnett, Pam Dameron, Tia Dameron and her husband Nelson Vanvickle, and Matt Dameron. She has twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Candace and her husband were foster parents for many years, having positively impacted the lives of dozens of children. Mrs. Dameron was an animal lover, having rescued and rehabilitated numerous cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, horses as well as people. She was a mentor to many, with the voice of an angel offering words of wisdom, kindness, encouragement, compassion and help to those in need. As a friend of the family once said, God broke the mold when he made Candace. She was greatly loved, and her presence will be greatly missed.
