Butrice Fox Crawford

June 10, 1932 — January 6, 2021

Butrice Fox Crawford, 88, was granted her angel wings on January 7,2021. She was the widow of Joseph Benjamin (Ben) Crawford. She was the loving mother of Joseph Crawford (Leigh) of Powder Springs and David K Crawford (Amy) of Hollywood, SC. She is survived by her sister Mary Lee Moore Cigelske, 3 grandchildren, Richard, John, and Daniel Nesbitt, and 1 great grandchild Joshua Nesbitt, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and a daughter Edith Nesbitt, and her brother Edwin Lamar Fox. Butrice (Bea) attended Hapeville High School and was voted “prettiest eyes in Hapeville High”. She enjoyed volunteering at Garrett Middle School and South Cobb High. She worked for the Austell Neighbor Paper. Bea was a wonderful daughter,sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend.Her main focus was always on the family and friends that she loved. She was always willing to help others, opening her home many times to those in need. Larry, Jr said Aunt Bea’s house was like the hub of Cobb county. You never knew who you would run into there! An air of welcome was always felt, plus much love and laughter. Bea was a devoted Christian woman,who enjoyed singing in the church choir. So many great memories are of her, and she was a great cook , too! Funeral services will be held Monday at 1pm in the chapel at Roy Davis Funeral Home in Austell, with burial following in Mozley Memorial Gardens, Lithia Springs. The family will receive friends from 11-1.
