Bobby V. Prater

Bobby Prater, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 14th, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on Friday, August 11th, 1950, in Atlanta, Georgia, Bobby was a lifelong Georgian, residing in Mableton, GA, where he touched the lives of many with his warmth and generosity.

Bobby dedicated his life to his faith and was known as an independent preacher who loved the Lord deeply. His sermons were filled with compassion and hope, and he had a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Beyond his ministry, Bobby had a profound love for animals, treating every creature he encountered with kindness and care.

He is survived by his wife Genie,  sons, Enoch Prater and Leon Cronan, and his daughters, Gina House and Lisa Pace, who will forever cherish his memory. Bobby is also survived by his brother, Donnie Prater. As well as several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hiram Archie Prater and Corean Prater, his son Eugene Cronan, and his brother Richard Prater.

A visitation service will be held on Wednesday, December 18th, 2024, from 5 PM to 8 PM at Roy Davis Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, December 19th, 2024, at 2 PM at the same location. Following the services, Bobby will be laid to rest at Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery, located at 86 Hart Road, Dallas, GA, 30157.

Bobby Prater will be remembered as a kindhearted man with a true compassion for family and friends. His gentle spirit and unwavering faith left a mark on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his loved ones and the community he served.
