Billy Arnold Willingham age 90, of Austell died Wednesday, February 5th at Vitas Inpatient Unit in Austell. Mr. Willingham was a Field Lineman and Switchboard Operator in the United States Marine Corps and was involved in combat action in Roi-Namur, Marshall Islands; Saipan and Tinian, Marianas Islands, (where he was wounded in action) and Iwo Jima, Volcano Islands. During his military career, Mr. Willingham earned the Honorable Service Lapel Button, the Purple Heart Medal and Good Conduct Medal. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 6 from 5pm to 8pm at Roy Davis Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 7 at 2pm in the chapel of Roy Davis Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville with military honors provided by the United States Marine Corps.
