Betty Haney Young

Betty Haney Young, 80 of Austell, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020. She was born in Atlanta on January 10, 1940. the daughter of William and Edith Haney. She was married to Walter Young from 1957 until his death in 2008. She is survived by her son and daughter=in-law, Keith and Kelly Young of Powder Springs; grandson, Kameron Young of Powder Springs; sisters, Marie Agan of Panama City Beach, FL, Jane Heard of Gainesville, GA, and Pat Hemphill of Birmingham, AL, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents and her son, Michael David Young. Mrs. Young loved her dog Chloe, flowers, fishing, and cooking. She was a great cook and enjoyed watching cooking shows. She enjoyed watching football all day Saturday and Sunday. She had worked as a manager at Grants and at K-Mart. She was a member of South Cobb Baptist Church. UPDATE 1/14/2020: The location of the service has been changed due to weather. The committal service will be held at 2:15 pm at Roy Davis Funeral Home.
