Betty Anne Bergen

Betty Anne Dake Bergen, 87, passed away peacefully October 11th surrounded by her family. A lifelong resident of Austell and Sandy Springs, Mrs. Bergen was preceded in death by her husband, John David Bergen, Sr. Betty graduated from Austell High School and Atlanta’s High Museum School of Art, and trained as a dental hygienist, raising her family and assisting her husband with his home building business. Survivors include a son, John David Bergen, Jr. (Deborah), of Gainesville, son Edward Patrick Bergen of Austell, daughter Elizabeth Bergen Berry (Jeff) of Alpharetta, and grandchildren Taylor Bergen, Kaley Bergen, Crawford Berry, and Jackson Berry. Graveside services will be held at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery, Sandy Springs, Georgia on Saturday October 19th at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Atlanta Humane Society are encouraged.
