BC Garrett, 85 of Douglasville, passed away at his home on Monday, August 21, 2023. He is survived by is children, Viki (Timmy) Rogers, Tammy Kines, Pam (Donald) Teal, Johnny (Andrea) Garrett and Marty Woodall; sister, Linda Gober; 15 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. His wife of 58 years, Jacqueline Garrett, preceded him in death just a few months ago. Mr. Garrett drove a sanitation truck in Acworth for more than 22 years before his retirement. He loved cars and worked at Marietta Auto Auction after retirement. He was the proud owner of a 32 Ford Roadster and enjoyed going to car shows. He liked taking trips to the casino in Cherokee, watching wrestling and collecting guns and knives. Known as Paw Paw to his grandkids, he loved being with his family, especially at meal time. Whether it was home cooking, especially poke salad, or going to a restaurant, he loved to eat. He was a loving, caring man who will be missed by everyone who knew him. The viewing for BC Garrett will be 2-5 pm, Sunday, August 27, at Roy Davis Funeral Home.
