Barbara Bowen Young

Barbara Bowen Young, age 73 of Powder Springs, GA, passed away April 27, 2016. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter H. Bowen and mother, Mary Boyce Bowen. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Young Alley and her husband Trey, Deborah Young Stewart and her husband Darris, and her son David Young and his wife Jennifer; grandchildren, R. Bowen Stewart and Hannah G. Stewart. Mrs. Young retired from the Department of Defense and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a gifted pianist and loved singing in the McEachern Methodist Church choir. A Graveside Service Celebrating the Life of Barbara Bowen Young will be held Friday, April 29 at 3pm at Resthaven Cemetery with Pastor Cindy Blocksidge officiating. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the National Kidney Foundation, in memory of Barbara Bowen Young.
