Barbara Queen

Barbara Joe Crone Queen, 79 of Powder Springs, passed away early Wednesday morning, October 26, 2022. She is survived by her husband, Billy Queen; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Sherri Queen of Gray, GA; grandchildren, Finn Queen and Colin Queen; step-grandchildren, Chris Compton and Nick Compton; sister-in-law, Pat Crone, and other in-laws, Eula Mae Brown, Jack Queen, Gladys Newton, Louise Newton and Sherry Garrett. She was preceded in death by her baby daughter, Melissa Queen, in 1974.

Mrs. Queen was born in Atlanta on February 7, 1943, and worked as a Clerk of the Court for the Federal Government. In recent years her health did not allow her to continue working. She devoted her time to being a wonderful homemaker who loved to cook and sew. She was a loving wife and mother, and a friend to many. She enjoyed traveling every chance she could. Barbara was the love of Billy’s life and they would have celebrated their 64 ^th wedding anniversary in November.

A graveside service for Mrs. Queen will be held at 11:00 am Friday, October 28, at Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs.  Services provided by Roy Davis Funeral Home.
