Barbara Ann Harper

Barbara Ann Harper, age 75, of Lithia Springs died Monday, August 8, 2011 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice in Austell.She is survived by her daughters, Yvette Rushing (Tom Sr.) of Savannah, Tammie Harper Shinpaugh of Dawsonville; son, Michael "MO" Harper (Connie) of Lithia Springs; sister, Joyce Brookshire of Atlanta; grandchildren, Cheri Shinpaugh, Brooke Rushing, Matthew Harper, Josh Shinpaugh, Tommy Rushing, Jessica Harper, several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Harper worked as a dietitian with the Douglas County School System at Lithia Springs Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, P. O. Harper who died in September 2008. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Roy Davis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Hennesy officiating.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Union Grove Baptist Church.The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.
