Austin Eugene (Gene) Hightower

Austin Eugene (Gene) Hightower, 85 of Acworth, passed away Monday, March 1, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife Lyndall Hightower, his parents Austin and Nancy Hightower of Acworth, his sister Virginia Davis of Acworth, his brother Everett Hightower of Acworth, his daughter-in-love Dorinda Hightower of Aragon, and two great grandchildren. He is survived by Jackie Denham of Acworth, his three sons, Johnny (June) Hightower of Villa Rica, Stanley Hightower of Lindale and Chris (Julie) Hightower of Aragon; seven grandchildren, Danny Bowen, April Hightower-Norman, Crissy Camp, Amber Simons, Keisha Gardner, Justin Hightower and Kevin Cazenas; 14 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Gene was born April 2, 1935 in Adairsville, Georgia. He retired from Lockheed Martin and continued to work as a businessman at Curtis Mathes and Hightower TV. He was a longtime member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Woodstock. A Memorial Service will be held at Full Life Church, 102 Saber Parkway, Villa Rica, GA 30180 at 12 noon on Saturday, March 6. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 12 noon. Pastor Johnny Hightower and Pastor Chris Hightower will be officiating and the service will be livestreamed at www.fulllifechurch.us and Facebook Full Life Church (@fulllifevillarica).
