Anne Muzac, age 82, passed away peacefully on January 21, due to cancer. She was born June 11, 1937, in La Vallee (Habitation Muzac) Haiti to Occianie Payen and Henriquez Muzac. Religion was a cornerstone of her life. She was passionate about Jesus and Marie, which meant being up very early for her daily morning mass. Nothing can keep her from attending church, not even getting attacked in the dark by a dog one of these early mornings, which resulted in her having surgery on her leg. In spite of this unfortunate incident, she never wavered in her faith but instead would confidently proclaim “whatever happens in life, never give up, Jesus will always bless you for your tenacity”. She led an exemplary life of faith always guided by her favorite bible verse in Psalm 23 “The Lord is my shepherd, there is nothing I shall want”. A seamstress by profession, her hands were hardly ever still. And so for many years, she worked at a clothing store in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Anne just loved people and so helping people was her hobby. She also enjoyed spreading her love by cooking fresh food for her family especially her "tiaka", so loved and enjoyed by many, especially her son-in-law Brunel Bruno who loves to eat it.
