Alan Ray Curtis, 72 of Douglasville, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020. He was born October 1, 1948 in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. He was a proud Marine Veteran who enjoyed riding motorcycles with other veterans. He worked at Piedmont Hospital as a painter and was a member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. Mr. Curtis was a loving husband and father who will be greatly missed by his family. He is survived by his wife of more than 41 years, Barbara Curtis; children, Alan Curtis, Jr., Debi Kelly and Kevin Sargent; grandchildren, Megan Leboeuf, Reine Leboeuf, Lauren Sargent, Devin Sargent, Kellan Sargent and Emily Sargent, and great granddaughter, Alexis Leboeuf. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Blair and sister, Karen Curtis. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm Monday, October 12, at Roy Davis Funeral Home. A private burial service with military honors will be held at Georgia National Cemetery.
