Ada Ruth Askea

Mrs. Ada Ruth Askea, age 64, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away on December 22, 2016.She was born in Atlanta, Georgia to James & Ruby Greer.Mrs. Askea was employed by the Marietta Daily Journal as a carrier.In her spare time, she enjoyed being a Video Disk Jockey, posting music from the 60’s & 70’s for friends and followers on Facebook.A devoted wife, loving mother and doting grandmother, she took pride in making her lovely house a home for her family.She will be especially missed by her pet dog, “Skeeter”.Mrs. Askea leaves to cherish her loving memory, husband of 38 years, Don Askea; son, Jason (Kira) Askea; daughter, Shelley (Johnny) Brantley; five grandchildren; brothers, James Floyd (Dean) Greer and Charles Edgar Greer; and a host of family, relatives and friends.She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Clyde Greer; and son, Joseph Mauldin. Due to inclement weather, the originally planned Memorial Service has been postponed.Instead, the family invites you to join them on Saturday, January 14, 2016 at 2:00 pm for a Memorial Service to be held at the Roy Davis Funeral Home, Austell, Georgia.
